CVI Melles Griot Shipping Policy

Online Shipping and Handling
Orders will ship from our North American warehouses via United Parcel Service using standard rates, with the following exceptions:
CVI Melles Griot may, at our discretion, choose to use another carrier at no additional shipping cost.
Certain heavy items maybe shipped separately on an F.O.B basis; cost to be determined.
For customers within the United States, we offer three levels of service:
- Ground (typically 3-9 business days)*
- 2-Day
- Next Day
* Not available for Alaska, Hawaii, and US Territories
For customers outside the United States, we offer two levels of shipping:
Expedited (typically 5 business days) Express (typically 3 business days)
The times quoted do not include any delays in destination customs. Expedited shipment is not available in all areas.

Taxes, Customs and Duty
The final purchase price includes all applicable state and local taxes. It does not include customs and duty charges for orders outside the United States.
Customs and duty charges are the responsibility of the customer.
At the present time, we are required to collect state taxes for the following locations: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia, Washington, and Wisconsin.

Partial Shipments
Partial shipments will automatically occur if a multipart order contains an item or items temporarily not in stock. If a customer wishes for an order to ship complete, please request at the time the order is placed.

Part Availability
If, for some reason a part is unavailable, you will be notified by e-mail and given the opportunity to amend or cancel your order.

Exchange and Returns
CVI Melles Griot will only accept products returned under the CVI Melles Griot Return Goods Authorization Process. The customer shall obtain an RGA number from CVI Melles Griot prior to returning any product, including an itemized statement of defect(s), prepaid and insured to CVI Melles Griot to the FOB point. Any product which has been returned to CVI Melles Griot but which is found to meet the applicable specification for the product and not defective in workmanship and material shall be subject to CVI Melle’s Griot standard re-stocking fee of 20% of the purchase price. CVI Melles Griot assumes no liability for customer furnished material.

Address Information
A physical address is required for all UPS and Fed-Ex shipments. These carriers are restricted from delivering to a P.O. Box. Telephone numbers, fax numbers e-mail addresses and contact name will help to ensure timely delivery of your package.
