Optical Coatings
 

Very few optics are ever used without an optical coating of one kind or another.

CVI Melles Griot offers one of the most sophisticated and state-of-the-art coating services in the industry. Our in-house custom design capabilities using proprietary and commercial computer programs give us unparalleled flexibility to manufacture a wide range of optical coatings from 260nm to the far IR such as antireflective, reflective, dielectric filters and mirrors, beamsplitters, polarizers and transparent conductive coatings. Our custom built vacuum chambers can accommodate substrates up to 500mm in diameter for visible and NIR coatings, and up to 12" for infrared and FIR elements. All of our optics are tested in-house for environmental and spectrophotometric compliance per applicable MIL standards.

Our experienced engineering staff can modify these coatings to provide the best performance for a specific application, or co-develop with the customer a truly unique custom-made product.
